So many, but if I had to single one out, “She Told Me So” everytime. The type of song that should be known by millions, and should be a regularly played radio classic. But that’s not the times we’re in unfortĂșnately.
let’s imagine that our all time favourite Even’s song is on the next album, that would be so great !
My favourite would be Don’t wait. After hearing that one through the head phones on the bus home from work in ’96 I was a committed fan. So many other great songs as well. This band never disappoints. Brendan from Canberra.
I think Better Road is my favourite.
Also love Life Gets in the Way, Karmic Flop, Before My Time and Getting By.
For me, “Which Way to Run” off the Even album. “Now or Ever Again” off Free Kicks. “Rock and Roll Saved my Life” off a Different High. “Time to See” is another favourite. My favourite cover song Even play live is Blondies “Union City” with Wally on vocals…magic!
“Keep on Burning” rocks live.
There’s a YouTube clip getting about from the album launch…My bitch of an ex, made me leave the gig early!!!! Never again.
We are the Purple Nazz – of course!
The perfect ending to one of the greatest and most underrated Australian rock albums of the past decade – A Different High!
we can say the’re the kings of perfect ending songs :
“peaches and cream” for “less is more”
“getting by” for “come again”
as you said, “we are the purple nazz” for “a different high”
“so good so far” for “free kicks”
but would you had prefered like me “keep on burning” instead of “the pinnacle” for the self titled album ?
She Told Me So off the same album – Less Is More. Perfect lyrics, backing harmonys and brilliant guitar solo. Has sentimental value for me personally, and is just a great song.
“Karmic Flop” is the one : the first I ever heard, back in 1999, the perfect opening song for my favourite Even’s album !
